Each year we kick of Bark in the Park with the UNLEASHED 5K! Runners and walkers enjoy a jaunt down Easton's Rails to Trails. A great way to start the day! Dog Friendly! Please if you bring your pet they cannot be on retractable leashes for the 5K.

Join us for the 8th Annual Homecoming Dog Parade through Historic Easton MD! This is a leisurely dog walk for dog and family! Each registrant receives an event t-shirt and doggie goodie bag. Dogs must be 8 weeks or older to attend Bark in the Park.
Fun Dog Show [+] 10/12/2018 $10.00 $1.54
Join us for the 8th Annual Fun Dog Show! This is a show for the "everydog"- that means there is something for every pooch! Classes range from cutest puppy to fluffiest dog, best rescued from a shelter, tallest and more! Great prizes for the winners!
NEW THIS YEAR- COSTUME CONTEST [+] 10/12/2018 $10.00 $1.54
New this year, Bark in the Park is separating out the Best costume from the dog show and having our own costume contest! We will have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize for best costumes. Go all out! Include the family!

Thanks to friends like you almost 8,000 animals have been placed into new homes, reunited with owners, or rehabilated at Talbot Humane since 2010. THIS IS WORTH CELEBRATING! 

 
 
This year we are celebrating with the annual  Homecoming Parade, Fun 5K,  Fun Dog Show, New this year- Costume Contest, speed contest, exhibits and more!

A great day for pet lovers- with or without a pet!

We hope you will choose to join us in this inspirational day of fun and fellowship.

 

 


Bark in the Park- Always a day of Fun for ALL!  

  • The day begins with the timed 5K fun run-walk on Easton's gorgeous Rails to Trails. Families and pets welcome! We thank Tri Cycle and Run for their sponsorship.
  • Our Homecoming Parade (Dog Walk) Sponsored by Hair O' the Dog is next. Preceded by the Blessing of the Animals and the singing of the National Anthem by local students.
  • PAWrade of Adoptable Pets from regional Humane societies and animal rescue groups could just find you falling in love!
  • Fun and Fab Dog Show- year 9! Check out the new classes! We are mixing it up this year! 
  • New this year- Costume Contest- get the entire family involved!
  • Delicious food including Scottish Highland Creamery, and more!
  • Rescue Tent with local veterinarians and regional rescue groups
  • Local Artisans and Businesses including the return of the Doggie Spa sponsored by Kevertin Pet Resort.  
  • Try your dog for fastest recall, agility course and others!
  • Music, 50/50 raffle and MORE!

The Town of Easton graciously opens Idlewild Park to Talbot Humane this one day each year to allow dogs! 

For your safety and the safety of those in attendance we ask the following:

  • All dogs must be on leash. Small dogs being held must be kept under your direct control and not permitted to run loose
  • We highly recommend non-retractable leashes 
  • All dogs in the park must be at least 8 weeks of age
  • Dogs which have been deemed dangerous or vicious, or require a muzzle in public are prohibited from this public event.
